Shortly after, I received a diagnosis that felt like an ending: Multiple Sclerosis (MS), a chronic autoimmune condition with no known cure. The decline was swift. But the most devastating blow wasn’t the diagnosis itself—it was the numbness that created a painful barrier between me and my world, taking away my ability to cradle my six-month-old daughter. That loss truly shattered me.

The Battle for Confidence

MS causes the immune system to mistakenly attack the myelin nerve fibers in the central nervous system. To slow its progression, I began the necessary medical treatments. But while the medication worked internally, a new battle began on the surface. I met with a series of draining side effects: rapid weight gain, hair loss, hyperpigmentation, rashes, and brittle nails. The disease hadn’t just affected my health; it had stripped away my physical appearance and the confidence I once held so dearly.
